We are looking for a Project Manager at ABB Oy, Energy Industries in Vaasa, Pirkkala or Helsinki. In this role, you will primarily oversee electrification and automation projects within the Energy sector in Northern Europe, with main focus on Nuclear projects in Finland. You will maintain and enhance customer satisfaction by ensuring that customer requirements and all targets are met, providing excellent customer service at every stage of the project. You will oversee the full project lifecycle, from initiation through implementation. Your daily tasks include e.g., estimating work effort, timescales, and budgets as well as creating, updating, and communicating the project’s goals and plans internally and externally. You’ll be working as a part of the Project Management Office team together with supportive teammates and colleagues. This position requires travelling to customer sites up to 30 days annually. This position reports to
Manager, Project Management Office
Your responsibilities
- Planning and Managing projects according to the ABB project management framework, including sales support
- Achieving project deliverables and compliance with contract requirements
- Monitoring projects to ensure best practices in cost control, resource efficiency and Health, Safety & Environment
- Analyzing and addressing project risks, and regularly disseminating lessons learned
- Working with other functions to coordinate contract negotiations and claims with customers
- Building strong relationships with customers and other stakeholders
Your background
- Proven Project Management skills
- 5 years of experience managing electrification and/or automation projects for external customers is preferred, ideally within in the Nuclear Sector
- Result oriented mindset with a demonstrated experience in management of project scope, cost, schedules, and vendors/subcontractors
- A collaborative, solution-focused approach, and strong written and spoken English and Finnish communication skills
- Experience from Nuclear industry regulations and standards is considered an advantage
- A B.Sc./B.Eng. or M.Sc./M.Eng. degree in electrical or automation technology, or equivalent degree
