Catalyst Systems is a Product Line in Wärtsilä consisting of more than 60 professionals within Power Supply organization in Marine Power. In our dynamic and entrepreneurial team, we develop, sell and deliver world class catalytic emission control solutions. Our product offering is for marine and energy markets, both for new-building and retrofits.
We are looking for an energetic (Senior) Engineer, Quality and OD to join our team. In this role you would work with our Senior Manager, Quality and OD. The responsibilities will cover a wide range of actions within the disciplines of quality and operational development. During the partial absence of Senior Manager (two years) you are also assumed to act selectively as a stand-in person for him.

The location for this permanent position is in one of our Wärtsilä locations in Finland (Vaasa, Turku or Helsinki).
Responsibilities:
Your main responsibilities, together with Senior Manager, Quality and OD and rest of our team, are related to improving our quality and performance of our operations and deliveries. More specifically the main responsibilities are the following:
- Participate implementation of QEHS objectives and Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) processes within Product Line
- Assist with monitoring & reporting QEHS KPI’s and forecasts within Product Line
- Act as project or task manager for assigned operational development and continuous improvement activities
- Join QEHS audits in Product Line
- Develop quality and safety management processes together with Senior Manager, Quality and OD
- Participate QA/QC development actions at suppliers
- Participate QA/QC for deliveries at suppliers
- Follow up and coordinate non-conformity solving in co-operation with Senior Manager, Quality and OD and the technical experts
- Manage customer feedback within Product Line
You will fit into this role when you have:
- Minimum B.Sc in Engineering
- Experience in quality management and/or operational development
- SAP and MS Office tools knowledge
- Good command in English
- Good communication and co-operational skills
- Willingness to travel
The following factors are considered as benefits:
- Experience in similar type of industry
- Knowledge of assembly and manufacturing, e.g. welding
- Knowledge of ISO standards (9001, 14001 and 45001)
- Knowledge of PowerPI report building
- Language skills in Finnish and Swedish
