ABOUT THE ROLE:
Pliant Oy gained an EMI license from the Finnish Financial Supervisory Authority in 2023, and as a result of this achievement we are now looking for a new Compliance Officer / MLRO (m/f/d) professional to join the group compliance team based in Finland.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Compliance Officer Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage Pliant's group-wide compliance program, ensuring alignment with industry standards and regulations
- Guarantee timely and accurate reporting to FINFSA and BoFin, in line with Pliant Oy's regulatory obligations
- Conduct regular and specialised training sessions for Pliant staff to ensure understanding and adherence to compliance-related matters
- Regularly assess groups compliance systems and controls, reporting findings and effectiveness to the senior management
- Investigate any instances of non-compliance within the group, and enforce appropriate corrective actions as required
- Collaborate with other stakeholders, such as the onboarding team, to facilitate the development of compliance and AML-related processes
- Manage relationships with regulatory authorities and handle other relevant 3rd party stakeholders
MLRO Responsibilities
- Maintain and continually enhance Pliant's robust Anti-Money Laundering (AML) program, aligning with company strategy and compliance requirements
- Actively monitor and report suspicious activities to FIU, ensuring Pliant's full compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Supervise and strengthen Pliant's customer identification, due diligence, and transaction monitoring processes, aligning with best practices and legal requirements
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of AML checks and reports at Pliant, ensuring readiness for regulatory scrutiny or audits
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- Professional fluency in Finnish and English, both written and spoken
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the financial sector
- Thorough knowledge of relevant laws and regulations related to compliance and AML in the EU
- Ability to work collaboratively with the stakeholders in all group entities and other key stakeholders including external service providers
Desirable
- Experience with compliance requirements in Finland.
- Experience engaging with regulators.
- Experience working in the finance or technology sectors.
