We are now looking for Item Specialist, Services.

The selected item specialist will be part of the Services Engineering team in Beneficiation, Dewatering and Hydrometallurgy Business Line (BDH), in Services BA and will be responsible for product data availability and quality for Filtration, Flotation, Hydrometallurgy and Thickener technologies.

The position requires an interest of data handling, experience and a good understanding of mechanical designing, drawings, and engineering tools. The Item Specialist will work together with BDH product data quality team, including preparation of specifications, drawings and items updating. In addition, excellent co-operational skills are required to succeed in the position.

Location preferably in Lappeenranta (Finland). You will report to Head of Services Engineering, Beneficiation, Dewatering & Hydrometallurgy BL.

More specifically you will be responsible for

Performing engineering and design activities (e.g. drawings and items updating) for service stakeholders, in cooperation with item specialist team.
Executing itemization activities utilizing established processes, tools and guidelines.
Providing itemization support to Services Product Group in developing new service products.
Developing collaboration with BDH Product and Delivery Groups

To succeed

To be successful in this challenging role you should have:

Minimum a Bachelor's Degree in relevant engineering field (mechanical, automation)
2+ yrs of experience in relevant engineering/data management discipline(s)
Background of BDH technologies (filters, flotation, thickeners & hydrometallurgy) is considered as advantage.
Knowledge of relevant engineering tools (SolidWorks, AutoCad & EDM)
Experience of PLM tools like Enovia is considered as advantage
Ability to plan, schedule, coordinate and solve problems effectively
Ability to successfully work with others in a matrix from a range of cultures within a diverse political, economic, technical and social environment
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Self-motivated approach and ability to work independently
Ability to communicate in English (spoken and written)
