Field Service Manager

We are looking for a Field Service Manager at Motion Service division. In this role you will be responsible for implementing Service strategy and driving Service growth locally at the respective local unit level. You will lead the Service organization and be responsible for the P&L to achieve performance targets and to optimize the utilization of service resources. This role can be located in any ABB location (Finland). Your responsibilities
- Managing local area teams of field service engineers and/or technicians and developing cross-use of resources between locations and functions (also sub-suppliers).
- Being responsible for the organizational development and effective planning and allocation of resources in accordance with standard processes, procedures, and safety guidelines.
- Building and executing close cooperation between motor and driving field service activities.
- Ensuring compliance with group health, safety and environmental directives and that regulations are implemented in own area of responsibility.
- Preparing, implementing and reporting of annual field service budgets, forecasting and action plan in support of business strategy.
- Ensuring customer focus, understanding of sense of urgency and care in the direct area of responsibility.
- Being responsible for improving customer satisfaction (eg. NPS, CCRP) and complaint handling
- Being responsible for the process development and continuing improvement in the own field of responsibility according to the agreed strategy.
- Driving continuous improvement culture and the implementation of improvements to achieve service excellence in own area of responsibility.
Your background
- Several years’ experience in industrial service business.
- Knowledge of power electronics, frequency converters and drives, motor and generators is required. Understanding of customer applications in the field of electrical drive trains is beneficial.
- Proven strong people manager and leadership skills.
- Open attitude towards new business opportunities and growth, and willingness to challenge team members in a positive way.
- Self-driven, proactive, willingness to take responsibility and improve, customer-oriented mindset.
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in a relevant field or relevant knowledge based on work experience.
- Experience in Finnish industry field is beneficial.
- Fluent Finnish and English.
- Willingness to travel.
